Section 8 History

Section 8 was formed in the summer of 2002. All of the original members of S8 came from a Mech Warrior clan called The Umpa's. Good bunch of guys but I thought that it was time to take it in a different direction. I contacted Dustoff, and Lonestar about leaving the Umpa's and forming an all adult multi gaming clan, free of the problems that younger members can cause. With the coming release of Battlefield 1942 it was time to move forward. The name Section 8 was perfect for the guys that left our old clan.....Crazy and fun loving.

In August of 2002 we were off and running, I started recruiting and Dustoff offered us his personal forum, with Lonestar setting up a web-site for us. Happy, Dr. Doo, Phelan, Nightrider, and Honyak all joined us from the Umpa's. We decieded to stay in the Mech world as well as 1942 and had many other veteran Mech players join S8. Medik, Navy Doc, Squelch, Warrent and Rogue all joined us soon after. In the summer of 2003 we branched out into Star War Galaxies, and have seen our roster climb to 75 members.

I never thought that the idea of an adult gaming would work out as well as it has, and it's all because of the great group people that have joined us over the last few years. As new games come out we'll continue to grow as a gaming clan, getting better all the time.

This clan was built on friendship, camaraderie and just plain fun. We are older gamers who have families and career's which come first so our gaming time is a very precious commodity. We play multiple online games like:

We are always open to new and exciting games that will come out in the future. All we ask is that you treat our members the way you would want to be treated and have lots of fun while you are here. That's an order!!!
